NELSON MANDELA

Nelson Mandela retired as President in 1999, and when he retired South Africa had problems, and the biggest problem was that people had to be sent away from their homes so they could become slaves for the whites. The whites torture the blacks by busting their houses killing and hanging them.

From 2004, he gave up politics, to enjoy a quiet life with his family. He was in prison for 27 years, and he got released in 1990 11 February. He had to be kept in prison until he dies, but someone released him. Nelson Mandela also got tortured too, and their are still racism going on in some cities in America these days.

  1. Hello Zion,

I am a student in EDM 310 at the University of South Alabama- Mobile, AL., USA. President Mandela is quite an interesting political figure. I personally enjoy learning more about the early life of many public officials. There are some even more interesting ones besides His Excellency Nelson Mandela.
