On the 21st of August 2012, John Key announced to the people who were watching on the TV that 3 soldiers from New Zealand passed away. The New Zealand soldiers are going to stay there until 2013 in Afghanistan. The Improvised Explosive Device, A.K.A  I.E.D killed them.
On the 4th of August 2012 they passed in Afghanistan.
An I.E.D is a roadside bomb, also it can be almost anything with any type of material, and it is also home-made.

Thank-you Dante for checking my work.

When we ran the cross country race, we had to listen to Mr Burt, for instructions. Some people were about to slip, in the cross country race, some people were keeping their balance.
The colors are Te Arawa (Red), Tainui (Blue), Matatua (Green) and Takitimu (Yellow).
It was challenging for me, because we had to run where the Pt England Reserve was. We started at the field in Pt England.
After that I saw Mrs Squires, she told me to keep going. I didn’t stop, I kept going at till I get to the finish line, then I saw Tauwhare, she told me to keep going.
Then I made it to the finish line. It was actually not so bad after all.

Thank you Dakota for checking my work.

My Uncle Usain Bolt came 1st in the London Olympic Games and his teammate Yohan Blake came 2nd in sprinting. Usain Bolt is so fast, I can’t even catch him. He has won a lot of medals in sprinting.

Usain Bolt is fantastic at running, even if he just gets a silver medal he’s still the fastest to me. He can run as fast as a cheetah. He can run like he’s never ran before.

What makes a superior athlete? Well I think hard work and training makes a good athlete. An athlete has determination, pushes themselves to the limit and believes in themselves. What do you think?

Practice makes perfect, if you think about Jesse Owens and Usain Bolt, they are really fast runners because they train everyday. If you want to be like an athlete, you train everyday, and have a good education.

My opinion is that both natural ability and hard work are important to an athlete.

Thanks Athena and Dakota for checking my work.
